Address: 1852 West 19th Street, Chicago, IL 60608

Come together with the SJOM team and fellow supporters for "An Evening of Hope" at the National Museum of Mexican Art at 1852 West 19th Street in Pilsen.

Enjoy a delicious Mexican buffet dinner, live music preformed by Everardo y su Flota Musical, and participate in our silent auction for the chance to win fantastic items!

The reception will begin at 5:00 with an opportunity for SJOM guests to have a private viewing of the musuem's Day of the Dead and other exhibits.  Exhibits will be open until 7:15pm.  Dinner and the short program will begin at 6:15pm.

We are excited to present the second annual Community Pioneer Award to Alderman Danny Solis at this event, to acknowledge his fine contributions to our community.

SJOM is also pleased to partner with a local youth initiative of the National Museum of Mexican Art, Yollocalli Arts Reach for "An Evening of Hope".  As an arts education and career-training program for teens and young adults, we are honored to have original artwork created by Yollocalli interns as part of our event.  The artists were commissioned by SJOM and Yollocalli specifically for this evening, and inspired by the men we serve, our mission and the message of hope.  The pieces generously donated will be included in our silent auction.

Yollocalli's program focuses on "creating a space for youth to partner with practicing artists; access the tools necessary to realize their own vision; and build skills as emerging artists. Located in the heart of Pilsen, Yollocalli is an open forum for experimentation in art-making based on issues in art, history, and youth culture."  Please visit the website to find out more about this wonderful organization, helping to make Pilsen a vibrant neighborhood!
